My Story
Jasmine Strothers is a proud Black woman of trans experience from Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, and a respected force in Pittsburgh’s ballroom scene for over 13 years. Renowned for her commanding presence, resilience, and leadership, she has built a lasting legacy rooted in empowerment, visibility, and community impact.
Beyond the ballroom, Jasmine is a dedicated street advocate for young Black transgender women. Through mentorship and hands-on support, she works to guide and protect the next generation—equipping young trans girls with the awareness, confidence, and vigilance needed to navigate everyday life safely.
Jasmine has also made meaningful contributions to the broader LGBTQ+ community, lending her time and voice to Pittsburgh Pride and helping shape more inclusive celebrations of identity and culture.
In addition to her advocacy, Jasmine is a sought-after celebrity party host, known for her energy, professionalism, and star presence. She has hosted events for notable names including Jacquees, Natalie Nunn, and Trina, further establishing herself as both a community leader and entertainment personality.
A powerful and influential figure within and beyond the Black community, Jasmine Strothers continues to inspire through her authenticity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others.
