My Story
Dawn Martin is a 17-year-old creative, entrepreneur, and early high school graduate (Class of January 2026) based in Pittsburgh. She made history as one of the youngest board members of Pittsburgh Black Pride, using her voice to advocate, create, and lead within her community.
Her poetry has been featured across the city, including exhibitions at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Oakland. Through her work, Dawn explores themes of identity, storytelling, and social impact, reflecting a deep commitment to expression and community engagement.
As a young leader, Dawn continues to inspire others through her creativity, vision, and dedication to uplifting the voices and experiences of Black LGBTQIA+ communities.
